Information on DC Dukes Get Together

Hi everyone!

It was suggested we hold this little event at the same place as last year, Ri-Ra Irish Pub and Restaurant, in the Clarendon area of Arlington, VA (http://www.rira.com/rira/arlington.html). It is located at 2915 Wilson Blvd and is easily accessible by car and public transit.

There is free parking located 2 blocks away at the Clarendon Square Garage from 5:30pm until 2:30am. The garage address is 3033 Wilson Blvd, but technically you need to turn onto N. Highland Street to enter. Also, the Clarendon Metro station, on the orange line, is just under 5 blocks from the restaurant. As you walk on Wilson from both the garage and metro, Ri-Ra will be on the left side of the street between N Garfield St and N Filmore St.

It looks like they have a few specials from 4-7pm and a live band starting at 10pm. Technically our event is starting at 7, but if anyone is interested in getting there early enough to take advantage of the specials, let us know. The list of specials for Thursday can be found here:http://www.rira.com/assets/files/arlington/happyhour.pdf

I can't wait to see you all at Ri-Ra between 7pm and 10pm this Thursday! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend, and have a wonderful start to your week. See y'all soon.

With love,
Heather

The Fan Page has changed location!

We changed the fan page from the "James Madison University Student Government Association Alumni Association" to the "James Madison University SGA Alumni Chapter" because it was suggested that we change the name so that it does not conflict with the "JMU Alumni Association" name. Because our alumni group is run through JMU's Office of Alumni Relations, we are referred to as a "chapter."

We hope you understand the reason for this change, and we ask that you join our new page here: James Madison University SGA Alumni Chapter
*Please add your friends to the new page!
